The Horrors- Best Thing I Never Had

Any music fan knows that the holy grail for international covers is the BBC Live Lounge- and the Horrors covering Beyonce’s Best Thing I Never Had is beautifully tongue-in-cheek. It avoids the dreary and hopeless tune Skying possesses, and harnesses some of their earlier use of electronics on a more subdued level. Funnily enough, it almost sounds like the boys put it together themselves- they have developed it in such a way that it is so very distinguishable from the Beyonce track. Faris Badwan’s vocals are always a talking point with an almost monotonous Alex Turner vibe, and in this track he really lets the music shine through.
